This was supposed to be my first contribution to my 365 project, unfortunately 365 seems to have morphed into this blog. This is the statue of Brian Clough who was a very successful football manager with Nottingham Forest, and also Derby County, but as this statue is in Nottingham it is commemorate his achievements primarily with Forest. The interesting thing about this shot is that directly behind the statue are the offices where I currently work. The building was designed by a very well-known local architect, Fothergill Watson, who changed his name to Watson Fothergill (sic). He was famous for over 100 buildings around the East Midlands. This is King Street which runs from the city centre market place, or as we call ours Market Square, and colloquially, Slab Square.
