This is a long-time friend, and ex-work colleague, Steve Smith, no relation. he is an accountant, whereas I'm a pretender. we used to work for an engineering firm that sadly went the way of most manufacturing businesses in Britain. Although the firm, Richard Simon, was bought by a Canadian firm, of all people, integrated into another Nottingham firm that they had purchased and to all intents and purposes, disappeared. I went with it and was made redundant, sadly.
